Classes are held in our spacious classroom, with BERNINA and Bernette Sewing Machines, Overlocks, large cutting tables, and pressing equipment set up for student use.  Lots of light and comfortable chairs enhances your class time!

To reserve your spot in a class, pre-registration (including payment where applicable) is required.  

Class registrants will receive a confirmation/supply list via email.  Supplies are extra unless otherwise noted.  Please come to class on time and prepared....we want you to make the best use of your class time!

Class fees are not refundable.  If you cancel 7 days or more prior to a class you will receive a store credit.

Join us for virtual classes on Mondays throughout the summer. Join us for a live Zoom class where after a presentation, you can chime in with questions. The sessions will be recorded so that you can view anytime. And it's FREE, you just need to register to get the invites to the meetings.

Ages 9 - 18. Students will come into the shop for a 30 minute lesson each day, and then will go home to complete an assignment in their space at home. When they return the next day, we can review what they did at home and then move along to the next steps. Only 2 students per time slot, with physical distancing and masks required. The store will be closed to retail during the class time. Students who have not sewn with us before will start with PJ Pants. Kids who have sewn with us can select a project with the instructor's approval. If you do not have a sewing machine at home, a one-week rental will be available at a discounted rate of $40 for the week.

Are you ready? We are ready for you! We are offering "shopping by appointment" time slots, to allow you a safe and dedicated time to shop. There is one shopper per time slot. We will have one staff member available to assist you, wearing a mask, and hand washing prior to your arrival. We ask that you wear a mask and no gloves, and we will have hand sanitizer at the counter. If you prefer to wear gloves, we ask that you use disposable gloves that we will provide you with. All those who have patiently waited for an opportunity to see fabric in person...find the perfect color match...get inspired by a new project...get in person help with a sewing question...check out a new sewing machine...this is our way to ease back in with your safety and comfort our #1 priority! You can also go to the calendar view on our website to view time slots (click on the calendar tab at the top of this page, just under our logo) You will receive an email confirmation of your time slot. We look forward to seeing you in person! Online ordering and orders through email for shipping or curbside pickup continues. We will update you when the doors are open for walk-ins.

Lisa illustrates how she has earned renowned success from her initial piece using a 3/8" seam allowance, to her latest quilt that won awards at the Houston International Quilt Festival. As you gain insight on Lisa's amazing craft and her 3 step Divide and Design method any hesitation you have regarding the patience or talent for quilting will quickly disappear. Pebbles, Echoes, Crosshatches?oh my!! They all so amazing BUT which one will make your quilt look amazing? Fills are a beautiful thing to waste and so is your time deciding which one to incorporate into your piece of art. During this Hands On class you will get the opportunity dive into world of fills and gain the insight needed to select just the right fill for your design. Lisa will provide you with the knowledge on how to choose the correct scale for the fill and the correct thread for your piece, ultimately giving you the power to place amazing fills on your quilt.

Feathers...Don't let the idea of their complexity keep you from taking your quilting up a notch. Learn how you can take your quilting up to the next level as you incorporate feathers, in various shapes and sizes into your next design. With Lisa's love of feathers she will unravel the mystery and put all your feathering fears to rest. Step by step Lisa will take the idea of their complexity and enlighten you with the true simplicity of applying such elegance and beauty to your next quilt. After this class you will want to create a quilt that soars with pride and self-accomplishment!

So you're not ready for the Major Leagues when it comes to working with rulers, no worries. Join Lisa in Rulers for Rookies and be ready for three full hours of ruler action. This class is a comprehensive hands on class incorporating not only straight edges and circles BUT some of the other Quilter's Groove Rulers as well. Regardless of whether you've never touched a ruler, or feel that your skills could use a little coaching this class is for you...Lisa will coach her team of temporary Rookies to victory while working on the Ohio star quilt block panel. She will have you pushing those days of feeling like a Rookie aside and have you ready for the Pros!
