SMBA: Sewing Machine Basics - Adult and Teens Ages 14 and Up
A sewing machine can be a tool that brings you great joy, provided you know how to use it correctly. This hands-on class will give you the opportunity to get more familiar with how to use a sewing machine. We will discuss the additional ingredients like thread and machine needles. We will wind a bobbin, thread the machine, and practice good sewing techniques. This class will cover instruction on both drop-in and front-loading bobbins. This is a great class to take prior to signing up for our other project-based classes, it will give you confidence and you will leave this class feeling like you are the boss of the machine! All supplies will be included. Classroom machines provided. Sat, 7/25, 10 AM - 12N, or Sat 8/8, 10 AM - 12N. Additional sessions are always being added so keep checking back if current sessions are full! We will contact you from the waitlist only if a seat becomes available in the specific date you waitlisted yourself for.

FFL: Fix It, Fit It, Love It!
This class is an introduction to essential skills needed if you want to fix or alter your ready made clothing. We will cover hem variations, taking in side seams, how to sew a dart to control fullness, and basic mending techniques. The prerequisite for this class is understanding the basics of how to operate a sewing machine - if you do not have any experience on a sewing machine then take our Sewing Machine Basics Class prior to this class. Supplies are included as we will be sewing on samples to learn the techniques, however feel free to bring a garment that you want to fix and it can be part of the discussion during class. Sat, 7/11, 10 AM - 12N, Wed, 8/12, 6 - 8 PM or Tues, 9/15, 1 - 3 PM.

EOE26: Embroider On Everything!
Introducing Embroidery on Everything, a monthly course for all BERNINA machines, focused on BERNINA embroidery accessories and popular embroidery techniques. Each lesson will include a video and a handout for you to use as you learn and hone your embroidery skills. A new lesson is released the 15th of each month on the BERNINA Skill Hub. In addition, we will host 4 in-person meetings throughout the year to review the video content, demo techniques in-person, and have some show and tell. The in-person sessions will be Sat 3/7, 6/6, 9/12 and 12/5, 10 AM - 12N/

Bring your project with instructions, basic sewing supplies, and join the fun! Studio sessions run full, if you are interested be sure to put your name on the waitlist and we will do our best to get you into a session.
